PhonePe Limited, India’s leading digital payments platform, is looking for motivated and skilled Data Scientists to join their growing team in Bangalore. With over 600 million registered users, PhonePe is at the forefront of financial technology, handling more than 330 million transactions daily.

This role is designed for professionals with 3 to 5 years of experience who are passionate about data science, applying complex algorithms to real-world problems, and building technology at scale. As a Data Scientist at PhonePe, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting challenges in machine learning, natural language processing, and computer vision, and play an integral role in shaping the future of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deploy scalable machine learning models, including offline batch, real-time, and edge compute systems
• Analyze large, complex datasets to derive actionable insights for business decisions
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and solve business problems with data-driven approaches
• Clearly communicate findings, insights, and recommended strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences

Key Technical Skills:

Python, SQL, PySpark, Machine Learning Algorithms, NLP, Computer Vision, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Data Visualization, Git, Statistics, Probability Theory, Linear Algebra

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields
• 3+ years of applied experience in data science roles
• Hands-on experience implementing, training, and deploying machine learning models
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong understanding of ML concepts, algorithms, and statistical modeling techniques
• Familiarity with NLP, computer vision, and deep learning frameworks (preferred)
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and analytical problem-solving skills
